Trombinoscope Contacts
Selection from
  • Categories show contacts from all or selected categories
  • Specific contact show the specified contact
  • Related contacts (through keywords) show contacts related to the contact showing in the main content (that has similar keywords)
  • Related contacts (through tags) show contacts related to the contact showing in the main content (that has similar tags)
  • Related elements (through tags) show contacts related to the element showing in the main content (that has similar tags)
  • Related to article author show contact(s) related to the article author (the contacts need to be related to users in your configuration for this to work)
  • Logged user show the logged-in user contact (as long as the contact and the user are linked with each other)
Contact Select the contact to show when the above selection is set to ‘specific contact’
Category filter
  • Include includes the selected categories
  • Exclude excludes the selected categories, therefore including all the other ones
Categories Select the contact categories (single or multiple selection)
Subcategories Automatically selects the next level(s) or all levels of a category.
  • No do not include children of the selected categories
  • Level include X levels of the selected categories
  • All levels include all subcategories of the selected categories
Maximum level depth The depth level (starting at 1) when selecting 'level' in subcategories
Category order The order of the categories
  • Order by administration console order
  • Title by category name/title order
Tags filter
  • Include includes the selected tags
  • Exclude excludes the selected tags (irrelevant in the context of related by tags)
Tags Select which tags the contact must have. 'All contact associated tags' will select all contacts having tags
Include children Include the children of the selected tags
Tags match type How tags need to match (when tags are included)
  • All The item is selected if it has all of the tags
  • Any The item is selected if at least one tag is found

Warning This parameter also applies to related tags. For instance, if the item on the page has tags X and Y and the value is 'All', the related items will need to have the exact same tags X and Y in order to be selected.
Custom fields A selection of custom fields one can filter with. Learn how to use fields as filters in this tutorial.
Use as many fields as needed, but be aware that multiplying the number of fields may have performance impact issues
Custom field The field used for filtering (showing here, custom fields of type list, checkboxes, radio and sql)
Filter Include or exclude the values that are set in the following parameter
Values The list of the values the items must have or not have to be selected, comma separated
Meta keywords Filter the contacts through the listed meta keywords. To bypass categories, select ‘all categories’.
Exclude IDs Exclude contacts from the list of selected ones

Include IDs Show only the listed contacts

Include featured Decide if you want to include featured contacts or not. Have them show first or be the only ones
Order The order in which the articles are presented (per category if categories are ordered)
  • Order by administration console order
  • Name by the contact name field
  • Sort field by the contact sort fields (this is the best way to have total control over contact sorting)
  • Name format (1st part) by name, formatted in the module
  • Name format (2nd part) by name, formatted in the module
  • Created by created order
  • Modified by modified order (if no modified date, the created date is used)
  • Popular from most hit to less hit contacts
  • Random randomly
  • Manual by way of the specified manual order

Manual order ids The contact IDs, ordered and comma separated when ordering is set to ‘manual’

Enforce language On multi-lingual sites, allows you to select items with the same language as the language of the page or mix items of different languages
Max count The maximum number of contacts that will show. Leave blank to show all contacts
Start At The contact item number to start from (useful if 2 instances of the module are created with the same data)
