I'd like the items to be listed by the Date of the class, which I have created a custom field for, and have filled in for each Article, under the Category of "Classes".
Documentation says that I can set the ordering by "Custom field date"
but that doesn't seem to be working. Help!

Hello!

just make sure that in the 'Item Selection' tab you select the date you created as a custom field (in the 'Dates' section) and that you select (in the 'Order' section) the option 'Custom Field Date Desc'.
