I want to start upgrading to Joomla 4. But when I run the pre-check I get a message that Simplify your web package needs an update.
I can't install the Joomla 4 version on my Joomla 3 site and I can't unistall the Joomla 3 version.
So what do I do. This package appears to be required for Latest News Enhanced.
Any help please
Kind regards
David

Migration for Simplify Your Web extensions is well documented so you can refer to it. For Latest News Enhanced, you can go here: simplifyyourweb.com/documentation/latest...rom-joomla-3-10-to-4

Each extension has its own checklist.

The Joomla updater gives you indications and mostly warnings when it comes to the migration from Joomla 3 to 4. Usually, the best info you can get is from the extension's developer, like you did here.

In general, there may be a few plugins to turn off if they are of type 'System' (to make sure they do not get in the way of the migration), and you should just install the Joomla 4 version of the extension once the site is moved to Joomla 4. That will re-install the extensions library automatically as well.

It's not a difficult process, but it takes a bit of time.

Olivier.
