Website no longer accessible was created by EddyH
Hi, after installing jQuery Easy v1.8 my website became inaccessible. I.e. when entering the url nothing happens, only a blank screen. Even the website/home page title is not shown. A complete white screen.

Deactivating does not resolve. Uninstalling neither.

I am running Joomla 2.5.9 and K2 v2.5.7.

Your urgent help is much appreciated.

Hello,
I am sorry about your trouble.
The fact is, jQuery Easy does not add or remove any files on your server. It only works 'on the fly'. Therefore, if you un-installed jQuery Easy or (installed it and did not enable it) and the problem still remains, this is not related to the plugin.
You should be able to see what errors you are dealing with by looking at log files (in /logs) or PHP/Apache logs.

Olivier.

The fact is that the only thing I did was install the plugin, and published it. And gone was the website!
I have not done anything else.
The last entry in the log file is 3 days old.

I have no clou how to resolve this horrible situation.
Your response so far did not help much yet. Hope to get some more guidance.

Is your administration down also? If so, check the documentation to know how to disable the plugin from the database. Have you removed jQuery Easy from Joomla! (extensions manager -> manage)? Did you make sure all files have been removed from the server? Did you check there is no remaining data in the _extensions table?
If jQuery Easy is not physically there anymore, there is no reason why the site should be down. Having the plugin disabled should be enough in the first place.

No, the backend is accessible
Yes, I have removed from Joomla (extensions manager -> manage).
All files removed from the server?? Don't know. Shouldn't this be taken care of by removing from Joomla (above)?
Remaining data in _extensions table? Yes there was one, and I have deleted it. But still no difference: site remains unaccessible.
Would it help if I grant you access in the backend so you can do some checks?

Send an email to [email protected] with the credentials.
Joomla should have deleted the files, yes. But it does not hurt to check under plugins/system to see if jquery easy is there still.
