Hi Great module by the way and I will donate once I get the job from my sample site. Can you tell me where I would change the colour of the calendar dates please?

Hello and thank you!
You have to manually change the font color through CSS.
Add something like
.newshead .calendar { color: #FF0000 !important; }
to your template's stylesheet.
