Thanks, this helps a bit 
Although you are not saying if you are using Trombinoscope Contacts Pro (TCP) or the core Joomla Contact list view
I will assume you are using TCP.
In the directory view, you need to go to the 'Fields' tab, 'Other fields' section. If it is a list view (or table), go to the 'Other columns' section.
Click on the + button to add a field.
In the field dropdown, you should find, under '[no group]' the field 'Other information'.
That should be it!
